Elders

4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions [sin] —it is by grace you have been saved.  Ephesians 2:4-5 (NIV)

As the pastor at Pilgrim, my main role is to devote myself to ministering the Word of God to God’s people, to praying for those in the church community, and to participate in the leadership and direction-setting efforts alongside the other elders.  I don’t know what road you have traveled that led you to our website, but I would be honored to meet you sometime and learn how Christ and His Kingdom intersects your journey.   — Pastor Kirk Blankenship.

In the PCA the elders have oversight of the flock of Christ.  Those in the office of elder, both individually and together, are to watch diligently over those committed to their charge.  This means they take an interest in the well-being of each individual as well as the whole.
