The worship service begins at 10:30 am
At Pilgrim PCA Worship is at the very center of our life as a church involving all that we are – our attitudes, emotions, actions, and will. In worship we recognize and adore God, as He is revealed in the person of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. All that we do in worship, we seek to do according to God’s Word. Both weekly Bulletin and Announcements and the Sermons are available online.
*Our nursery is staffed to care for infants and toddlers.
What to expect
We’re committed to God-centered worship at Pilgrim, as the biblical purpose for public worship is to honor and glorify Him. We see worship as a dialogue; God speaks to us through His Word and we respond to Him with confession, adoration, prayer, and giving.
The sacrament of the Lord’s supper is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. Communion at Pilgrim is open to members in good standing of any evangelical church having made a credible public profession of faith in the redeeming work of Jesus Christ our Lord.
What should I wear?
Some Pilgrim families dress up for worship, while others are more casual. At the end of the day, God looks on the heart. He isn’t fooled by those who dress up on the outside yet despise Him or their neighbor in their heart. On the other hand, God also isn’t fooled by the heart that doesn’t care to give Him the best of everything yet disguises his lack of love for God with the label of being “grace-centered”. All that we do should be done to bring glory to His name: “The hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:23-24 ESV).
Psalms are often sung acapella, but we are also regularly accompanied by small ensembles of the following instruments: piano, violin, acoustic guitar.
