Our Philosophy of Ministry

The vision of Pilgrim Presbyterian Church is to effectively articulate the biblical teaching of God’s grace through preaching, teaching, worship, service, and fellowship that both edifies and encourages this community of believers to know and understand God’s grace in Christ, as well as practice it in a way that makes the saving work of Christ and the continuing work of this body of believers attractive to the larger community of which we are a part.

Romans 5:6 “You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 10:8b–11 “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart, that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, ‘Anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame.'”
