Sunday Morning Worship

Begins at 10:30 am

At Pilgrim PCA Worship is at the very center of our life as a church involving all that we are – our attitudes, emotions, actions, and will.  In worship we recognize and adore God, as He is revealed in the person of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer.

What to expect

We’re committed to God-centered worship at Pilgrim, as the biblical purpose for public worship is to honor and glorify Him. Each part of our service is included to help us focus on God, rather than ourselves.  We see worship as a dialogue; God speaks to us through His Word and we respond to Him with confession, adoration, prayer, and giving.

communion table 3The sacrament of the Lord’s supper is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.  Communion at Pilgrim is open to members in good standing of any evangelical body of believers having made a credible public profession of faith in the redeeming work of Jesus Christ our Lord.

What should I wear?

Some Pilgrim families dress up for worship, while others are more casual.  Please dress respectfully, as what you are comfortable wearing to worship should aim to encourage our mutual dialogue with God.

God looks on the heart, not on the outside.  It is our attitude toward Him that counts: “the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.  God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:23-24 ESV).

Songs are selected from the Trinity Hymnal, Trinity Psalter & our own collection of CCLI licensed praise choruses.

Psalms are often sung acapella, but we are also regularly accompanied by small ensembles of the following instruments: piano, violin, acoustic guitar.
